Our first RSC Open Day

As part of our support for the Royal Shakespeare’s Stitch-In-Time campaign, we are hosting two joint Open Days this year. The first event on 30th June was blessed with sunshine and a cool breeze. Nearly 500 visitors enjoyed the rose display, which was one of the best in many years, as well as the tranquillity of the woodland gardens. The RSC’s catering department offered tasty treats for all ages, which visitors enjoyed strolling through the gardens or sitting in the shade of the garden café on the East Terrace. There was a festive atmosphere which left us all happy and pleased at the end of the day. We now look forward to the second Open Day on 11th August with equally kind weather, many visitors and a glorious high summer display.
